Photos from 2006

Here is a sampling of a few photos from various places I visited in 2006, including Denmark and India, as well as Las Vegas, San Francisco and the Napa Valley within the US.
The page uses a Virtual Earth map. When you hover over any pushpin, you'll see a quick description of that location, and can choose to view the related photos. The photos are displayed as a slideshow using WPF/E. The whole application was implemented using Script#.

In February, I did a user group tour in India. In addition, I also visited my home state of Rajasthan, which is quite famous for its old forts.

In March, I was in Las Vegas for the MIX06 conference. In addition to the Las Vegas strip, I also the visited the somewhat less known Red Rock Canyon that lies in the city's outskirts.

In October I was in Denmark (and for the first time in Europe) for the JAOO conference. In addition to sights in Copenhagen, I also took the train to see the Egeskov and Helsingor castles, and Den Gamle By in Aarhus.

In May I attended the Ajax Experience conference in San Francisco. I took the opportunity to catch various glimpses of the Golden Gate bridge.

In October, I had a training offsite in Napa Valley. Apparently it was the perfect time to see the wineries and vineyards as the grapes had ripened and were ready for picking.
