Tulip Festival 2007 Photos

Pictures from the 2007 Skagit Valley Tulip Festival...

Each April, we have the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley. Its sort of a northwest ritual to head north in April, when the flowers bloom, walk around in the fields, and see vast expanses of tulips in all sorts of colors. We went there a couple of weeks ago, and were lucky to be there at just about the right time, when most of the fields flowers were just about blooming.

Great Pics. My business is actually located in the Skagit Valley and I grew up here as well. I came across this site looking for AJAX solutions.

Rachit: Thanks for the feedback. I've been staying away from post-processing selective areas of photos in photoshop in the recent past and instead trying to stick with just whatever is possible with global processing in the raw converter. This has been working fine for me to the extent I haven't done any photoshop processing recently, which saves some time (and storage space!). There are indeed a couple of pics I am not completely pleased with, that perhaps could use some additional work... if only there was more time.

Great pictures! I found this site while trying to identify what I believe may be a tulip, as shown in image 5 at ursusgrande.com/members/steve/spring.html

Benji - I used a tripod for the San Diego night shots - I don't think I used it at any other time...
