Just around 20 miles west of the Las Vegas strip is the neon-free Red Rock Canyon, thats really quite a pleasure for nature lovers and photographers.
The striking red sandstone formations are very prominent, and its interesting to see the layers of rock exposed as the result of geological activity.
In addition to the natural formations, there are some faint but still visible ancient rock artwork (pictographs and petroglyphs) created by natives.
