Rotorua, New Zealand

I only had a couple of days in New Zealand after TechEd in Auckland (which is way too short of time frame). However, the geothermal area in Rotorua (about a three hour drive from Auckland towards the center of the North Island) with its hot springs and mud pools provided a nice option for a day trip to see some unique sights. Luckily the weather cooperated :-)
