We visited Plumas County in California during October to check out the fall colors.
Apparently Plumas is known for its fall colors. The locals (at the visitor center) claimed the fall scenes looked better than those in the north east with the colors interspersed amongst the pines and other evergreens. We were pretty lucky to go there during the weekend when the colors were peaking.
